Gold Drives are innovative fundraising events that give individuals an intelligent way to recycle their unworn and broken gold jewellery while simultaneously generating money for charitable and community organizations. For example, when considering today’s near record gold prices, typical participant payouts amount to $385.00 and an additional contribution of $54.50 made to the campaign. Both the individual and the charitable organization benefit financially by choosing to participate in this rewarding recycling transaction.

Children at Risk was incorporated as a charitable organization in 1979. It provides services in the Greater Ottawa area to families with children diagnosed within the Autism Spectrum Disorders. These children are “at risk” of not developing to their full potential if they do not receive early intensive intervention implemented skillfully and diligently. By developing a child’s skills to overcome behavioural, communication and social problems at the onset, they stand to achieve their full potential. This will enhance family life and community participation. Children at Risk (CAR) has selected Recycle Frog’s Gold Drive fundraising program to raise money to increase public awareness of Autism and the impact this disability has on the child and on his or her family.
