At Recycle Frog, our goal is to restore transparency and integrity to an age old service. To achieve this, we must engage consumers to consider this transaction based on its own merits. That is, the financial and environmental benefits gained by recycling unworn or broken gold jewellery. Our tagline says it all; we want consumers to ‘Rethink Recycle’.
Driven by global demand, the price of gold is at record levels. To fulfill growing demand, mining operations around the world are unearthing new gold at a hefty cost to our environment. Most consumers are shocked to learn that the production of a single gold wedding band generates an average of 20 tons of mine waste. Sadly, though gold is highly recyclable, over 75% global demand is still being met with newly mined material.
At Recycle Frog, we’re not naïve, we know that while making an environmentally responsible choice might be ‘noble’, consumers demand the maximum financial payout as well. Recycle Frog’s goal is to provide a simple and transparent, secure and financially rewarding service experience that encourages people to take action and spread the word.
