Recycle Frog is growing and we're looking for an experienced, professional and efficient individual with the ability to provide tactical and strategic leadership of the event planning team. Responsible for growing and improving processes around the successful delivery of events, the chosen candidate will measure, manage and implement changes that directly impact the overall success of each event. They will also effectively manage all aspects of each event, from pre-event planning and promotions to post-event analysis.

 

The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in managing multiple projects, third party vendors and priorities while creating a flawless and highly-valued event experience.

 

Job Requirements & Description:

 

-- Enhance the impact and effectiveness of Recycle Frog's existing public and private event program

 

-- Aggressively manage critical timelines and vendors on each project to achieve quality event promotions that drive prospective customer participation

 

-- Negotiate promotional contracts and ensure appropriate discounts are maximized through collaboration with vendors, where appropriate

 

-- Collaborate with internal and external audiences including vendors, suppliers and partners to ensure the seamless integration of all event elements

 

-- Prepare budgets and provide progress reports for each event project

 

-- Manage the Public & Private events calendar

 

-- Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process

 

-- Conduct research and find resources to assist the leadership team in making informed and effective decisions about event possibilities

 

-- Develop contingency plans as needed to find innovative solutions to on-site issues, pre-event promotions, that ensure the event success

 

-- Close out all events with post-show reports, customer contact entry into CRM tool

 

-- Prepare and send post-event follow up email to customers; provide reporting metrics to management

 

-- Support the marketing and communications team as required on various other internal and external initiatives

 

-- Upon successful completion of training, the ability to successfully perform material evaluations for in-office appointments

 

-- Provide front line customer enquiry responses in a timely manner

 

-- Be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.

 

Working closely with the Event Coordinator and VP Marketing & Communications, the Event Coordinator will be expected to lead the coordination of all aspects of our event program, and possess other qualifications including:

 

-- At least 3 years of experience as an Events Coordinator, or equivalent work/study experience

 

-- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading and presentation skills

 

-- Bilingualism, while not required, will be considered a strong asset

 

-- Ability to manage multiple tasks, manage budgets, balance continuous demands, prioritize projects and meet critical deadlines

 

-- Excellent interpersonal skills with high level of professionalism and diplomacy

 

-- Ability to accomplish both the creative and process side of event management with limited supervision

 

-- Focused and highly organized with excellent administration skills

 

-- Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality

 

-- Bachelor's degree preferred; excellent knowledge of event management, marketing, public relations and communications will be considered an asset

 

-- Occasional travel, evening and weekend work may be required

 

-- Must demonstrate a proven track record for being a 'team player' as well as 'team leader'

 

-- Proficiency using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches.

 

 

Compensation: 

Based upon relevant experience and ability to contribute at a high level, ranging from $28,100 to $33,200.

 

References will be required and background check will be performed for all qualified candidates.
