Queensway Carleton Hospital Hosts Successful Fundraising Event
OTTAWA – May 26, 2010 – Recycle Frog, a next generation, direct-to-consumer precious metals recycling company, today announced that Queensway Carleton Hospital, a patient and family-centered, urban community hospital in Ottawa’s west end, selected Recycle Frog’s Gold Drive™ program to help raise needed contributions for their ‘Care Grows West’ fundraising campaign. They kick started the program with a successful event that generated over $2,500 in contributions in less than 7 hours.
“What an innovative and fun way to raise money! Who knew you could simply bring in your old, unwanted gold and silver items, get a great on-the-spot purchase offer and also raise money that supports the broad range of acute care services we provide,” said Judy Brown, Director, Communications and Patient Relations. “Everyone that participated loved that we put money in their pocket and generated a contribution that goes directly towards our Care Grows West fundraising efforts. The first events were so successful that we’ve already booked Recycle Frog for another event in early June.”
