The Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation and Recycle Frog Team Up; Host First Fundraisers at Innovapost

OTTAWA – June 1, 2010 – Recycle Frog, a next generation, direct-to-consumer precious metals recycling company, today announced that the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation (ODBF) has selected Recycle Frog’s Gold Drive™ program to help raise donations toward their 2010 fundraising campaign. The first corporate event will take place on Thursday, June 17th at Innovapost, a longstanding ODBF supporter and a participant in this year’s Tim Horton’s Dragon Boat Festival. The ODBF will receive a percentage of every Gold Drive transaction with Recycle Frog matching contributions dollar-for-dollar.

“The Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation has been an active member of our community, raising vital contributions that go towards both individuals and families in need. We’re extremely pleased that they have chosen to leverage our innovative program to help meet their fundraising goals,” said Matthew MacQuarrie, President, Recycle Frog. “The ODBF compliments a growing number of local and nationally recognized organizations, including the Canadian Cancer Society, CHEO Foundation and the United Way Ottawa, that have chosen Recycle Frog’s Gold Drive program to boost their outreach and fundraising efforts.”

Gold Drives engage a more sophisticated consumer that would never consider going into a pawn shop or send their items by mail to a company they know nothing about. Recycle Frog fills a considerable gap in the market by providing an intelligent, transparent service that financially rewards individuals for selling their unworn and broken gold jewellery. This important recycling transaction simultaneously generates money for charitable and community-conscious organizations like the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival. For example, when considering today’s near record gold prices, typical payouts are approximately $385.00 in addition to a contribution of $54.50 made to the campaign. Both individuals and the ODBF benefit financially by choosing to participate in this rewarding recycling transaction.

The first corporate event is taking at Innovapost, a leading provider of IT solutions and services, with a specialization in SAP and Web development on Thursday, June 17th from 10:00 to 4:00.
